Why Do I Get Scabs in My Nose?

Question by Jena: Why do I get scabs in my nose?
I get them mostly in the winter time. It’s not from being cut, I know that. My guess was from the air being so dry? The thing is it just started happening about a year ago and I’ve lived in the same place my whole life.. so it doesn’t make sense. Does this happen to anyone else?

Probably dry air, I get them too. But they can also be a sign of systemic lupus.

I had a doctor ask me on two separate visits if I ever “did a little cocaine” after he looked in my nose with his light. I just get dry sinuses and use either Vaseline or Neosporin on a swab and coat the inside of each with it and after a couple days they heal up, but have to do it again every few days.

maybe you’re just getting older or over washing your face. Apply moisturizer and if the problem keeps on happening, consult a Doctor, it might be something more.
