What Is This Yellow Liquid Draining From My Right Nostril?
Question by Tyler W.: What is this yellow liquid draining from my right nostril?
A few days ago, I felt my nose running as if it were bleeding, but when I grabbed a tissue, it turned out to be some sort of moderately dark-yellow, watery liquid. My initial thought was that it was my sinuses draining because I recently got over a head cold (which may have been a sinus infection, but I never went to the doctor for antibiotics). But now, 2 days after the initial incident, it still comes out anywhere from one to four times a day (4 times the first day, 1 yesterday, and 2 so far today).
I’m convinced that it’s merely what I said above, but I also happen to know that cranial/ spinal fluid is yellow, so I wanna make sure that I don’t have some freakish neurological problem… I wanted to ask to get other opinions from people that more than likely know more than I about the matter. Here’s some other info that may help:
-As I said, I recently got over a cold/ untreated possible sinus infection
-I have no history of concussions or head injury (although I’ve taken a few good shots in my previous football seasons)
-I have no health complications besides seasonal allergies (usually in the Spring)
-I have no history of drug use (just thought I’d say that so no idiots say “stop using cocaine”)
