Question by unsure72: What is the pastoral/biblical counseling viewpoint on Schizophrenia?
May be a little over peoples heads in this forum, but I thought I would ask….

If they are a responsible pastoral counselor, they will still recognize the need for medication.

demonic oppression, needs fasting and prayer, change the heart first, behavior follows.

medication may deal with the surface and treat symptoms as will therapy and psychology, but only fasting and prayer will deal with the heart.

Christian psychology is an oxymoron. Psychology deals with behavior, the surface. But Jesus Christ deals with the heart, the source of these sintoms.
