Crack cocaine has an effect on both the autonomic nervous and central nervous systems.
The following are just some of its effects:

* increase of heart rate and blood pressure
* nausea and vomiting
* increase of the rate of breathing
* decrease appetite
* convulsions
* decrease of the need for sleep
* cause heart attacks and strokes
* damage the nasal septum and lungs
