Underage Drinking of Your Own Children?

Question by rothe_jabbuk: Underage drinking of your own children?
I am being told by police that as long as your are only giving your child alcohol in your own home it is legal so long as no one gets hurt or damages anything (or drives). Can anyone find the Va code or statute for this?

Um no, that is not legal. Contributing to a minor. Why in the world would you even consider this?

That sounds wrong to me. Regardless of who’s roof the underage person is under, it’s still illegal for them to consume alcohol.

Ok, you need to be more specific. That was pretty broad (you can give your kids drinks as long as no one gets hurt…)

Small moderations is fine.
