Punishment for Tampering or Fabricating Physical Evidence (A Felony)?

Question by Baby makes 5: Punishment for tampering or fabricating physical evidence (a felony)?
By sheer luck I stumbled across my husband’s ex-wife listed in the paper as being arrested for tampering or fabricating physical evidence. It is a felony and when I did a little more research it was for “namely, cocaine” Any insight at all on this? Could she have had it on her and just tried to destroy it so she wasn’t charged with possession or does this likely mean something else? How serious is this punishment? Will she likely face jail time? She has no money, a lazy, self absorbed woman who lives off of fake disability… so she has a court appointed attorney. Possibility of getting off? Any info or experience you have with this is greatly appreciated. We have full custody of the kids and are wondering how this will effect any time they might get with her. We are in Texas. Thanks!
Oh – and since she is on disability, does that stop for being arrested?
We have full custody of the kids, she has no visitation rights unless we allow it and we are trying to figure out how serious of a crime this is and if they should no longer see her, so this is my business. Their safety is what we are concerned about. Plus, we get disability payments for the kids since she is on disability which we need as her “child support” so that is my business too.

Mind your own business you crazy obsessed psycho. Sounds like she has some issues, but believe it or not YOU have more. Those who rejoice in the troubles of others end up encountering a mountain of their own that far surpasses that of their enemies’.
