He Lied to Me & Was Using Hard Drugs?
Question by monica b: he lied to me & was using hard drugs?
he lied to me about his whereabouts, i busted him in the lie. he said he lied bcz he didnt want me to think all kinds of things that wasnt true. he told me days later that he “relapsed” to drug use & was using hard drugs that night & that’s why he lied. he sniffed cocaine 3 or 4 times within a month & a half & wanted to tell me the whole time but said he didnt know how. he said the arguments WE have is what drove him to use the coke bcz he’s stressed. i told him he got high bcz he WANTED TO. there are so many OPTIONS dealing with stress. he ASKED for the drug, got it & used it. no one had a gun to his head. SOMEHOW he’s turning some of this sh*t around on ME like I’m the reason he turned to drug use again. he’s a recovering addict. i notice a “slip” in his sobriety a couple of times, suspected more times but never said anything bcz he always denies it. he thinks he’s fine, i think he’s headed for trouble. we got in a very HUGE FIGHT, ugly things were said & i HATE HIM SO MUCH right now i dont know what to do. i’m ready to say “f*ck it” & end the relationship. but then i’d be abandoning him probably when he needs me the most.
he wants to act as if nothing happened, i want to act as if something DID happen, bcz it DID. i dont know what the f*ck to do anymore & its SOOOO FRUSTRATING & IT HURTS!!!!!
can someone please give me some advice?

my son does the same thing whenever he has to deal with stress. if u want to give him another chance u should insist he go to the meetings, get a sponsor, find out if he has some kind of anxiety, or personality disorder, because what he is probably doing is self medicating whenever he feels stressed out. maybe antidepressants would help, he also could have a chemical imbalance.

End it now. You will never change him, only he can change himself. Do you really want to be dragged down with someone like that. Move on……fast. Do worry about abandoning him, take care of yourself.
