Do You Think This Is Reasonable?

Question by I Like Eggs: Do you think this is reasonable?
In our society a cop can arrest a person for having a small amount of marijuana on them, and then go home and legally get wasted on alcohol. I find this very hypocritical. What do you think?
Jared, I’m not blaming this on the cops. I know they are just doing their job My point is that all studies have shown marijuana to be less harmful than alcohol, so why are they treated differently

Two completely different things. Would your argument make sense if you said, “Someone can go out and drink alcohol, but can’t shoot up on Smack or do Meth. Completely hypocritical!”

Don’t get me wrong. I happen to believe that marijuana SHOULD be legalized. But, not because of the argument “because alcohol is”.

I see your point in the fact they are both bad for you yet only one can get you in trouble for possession. But until the US outlaws alcohol (again) or lifts the ban on marijuana that’s just how life works. Everything is caught in the legalities of it.
