Oh man – it’s a tough one. It probably starts because they feel REALLY cool smoking these things. Kids want to be tough guys – look cool – look tough – look grown up – whatever.

Quickly you’re addicted – and it’s no small thing. You are really dependent upon a fix 10 or 20 times a day – or you get the shakes bad maybe for a couple months.

I remember one of our Surgeon Generals said that – “Nicotine is the most addictive substance that I know of – more then heroine or cocaine”. I think that was Surgeon General Koop under Reagan.

Anyway – hooked on cigs is a big deal – nothing to sneeze at.

To be telling the truth i dont think it kills people or gives them cancer they smoke because they want to and like a thing they put in cigs by the people who make the cigs
