My Friends Have Become Heavier Drug Users Over Time. What Should I Do?
Question by nice jewish boy: My friends have become heavier drug users over time. What should I do?
I hear it all the time.
“Man, weed isn’t addictive”…I only I dunno smoke it three times a day…
or “Man, cocaine isn’t addictive”…except I do lines at 2 in the afternoon and have done it before going to class
or “I’m not an alcoholic”…but I need to drink every day…and many times a week I buy a 30 pack of pbr and finish it in a day or two…no big deal
these are conversations I have with some of my friends who I’m questioning whether or not I should be friends with them anymore
I confronted them about these habits of theirs and many times, they just mock me

Ooh, sticky situation…if I were you, I wouldn’t be friends anymore because what if it starts affecting your life? I know someone who accidentally ate a weed cookie because his friends thought he should try weed. If that kid brought those cookirs home to his little sister, then it would be a very bad situation. Just think of whether it’s worth it. If there are more cons than pros for the outcomes of your guys friendships, it may be time to end it.
