Is There Some Way to Reply to a fanfiction.net Review With No “reply” Voice Bubble or Poster’s Name Link?
Question by jet73l: Is there some way to reply to a fanfiction.net review with no “reply” voice bubble or poster’s name link?
I had hoped to reply to a review, but can’t figure out how. I’m very, very rarely on fanfiction.net, so I didn’t know where in the forums to ask this and didn’t know if this was a glitch (as has been proposed as a possible answer to another person’s similar question on Yahoo Answers), or if there really is no way to reply.
I could not reply directly, since the “reply” voice bubble next to the “report for abuse” yield sign is missing, and I could not figure out how to send a PM because the person’s name was greyed out instead of a bluelink. Is there any way to reply, or add a message? Since at the time that the message was posted I had allowed anonymous reviews, is there no way to reply? I don’t see why one cannot reply to anonymous reviews in the review section (where non-anonymous reviews can be given replies), unless it is some sort of glitch. Is it symptomatic of a glitch that is being fixed?

You could search for the person’s name as a username on the site- sometimes people leave reviews under their own name but they just don’t log in first.
There’s no way to reply directly to anonymous reviews because if the person isn’t logged in, then the site can’t create a link back to their account for you to use to reply.
