Would Legalizing Marijuana Prevent It From Being a “Gateway Drug”?
Question by TJ: Would legalizing marijuana prevent it from being a “gateway drug”?
Right now if you want some pot, you have to go to a drug dealer who probably sells other, harder drugs. If it were legalized would pot smokers still be exposed to the temptation to buy heroin or cocaine?

NO. “Gateway drug” is a term projected by the Govt to try and scare people. If you ask the question to a cocaine or heroin user “Do you use marijuana before using cocaine/heroin?” Most will say yes. However if you ask a marijuana user if they also use heroin/cocaine the majority will say no. Few people use the harder drugs but many many people use marijuana.
