I know that you have to go to graduate school to become a school guidance counselor, but I was wondering what I should major in to get my bachelors degree? i was thinking human development or psychology… which would be better? i think human development looks much more interesting and then i could minor in psychology.. what do you think?

Major in psychology, it is much more relevant. You can minor in human development

Do you have a list of majors offered in your chosen university? From what you’ve stated, you only have two choices:
*Major in Human Development, minor in Psychology
*Major in Psychology (no minor)
The former is obviously a better route.

Other good majors in preparation for graduate school in Guidance counseling include Behavioral Science, Education, Child and Family Development, Communication, or straightforward Counseling.
