My Dad Thinks I Do Drugs?

Question by John Cook: My dad thinks I do drugs?
Today my dad asked me “So son, million dollar question. Are you doing drugs?” I was rather surprised that he asked and replyed “No..Other than alcohol. And I’ve tried cannabis. Why did you think I did?”
He said “Yes honestly.”

He didn’t say why he thought this. To be fair I’ve tried some drugs 1 time each (MDMA, cocaine, oxycodone, salvia, DXM), but I really only smoke weed and drink. I told him that cannabis is less dangerous than alcohol and he said “because it’s not addictive.” I guess my question is, why does my dad think I do drugs?? (I really don’t do drugs other than pot normally).
He doesn’t seem to take issue with it though. He makes pot jokes around me and my friends frequently. He grew up in the 60s so as long as I’m not addicted to anything he doesn’t seem to care
