Question by future fate: How much of a “stress test” is it for Banks (private companies) to accept 700 billion dollars of the…?

Now don’t get me wrong, these CEO’s have their hands full with their 5 houses, multiple mistresses and keeping their prep-school children in cocaine.
But how about making them turn a profit? Or taking responsibility for their screwups like loaning billions of dollars to unqualified buyers AGAINST the recommendations of Congress and financial experts.
Or would that be too much stress.
Give me the same stress test! I think I can handle it!
The Acorn lawsuit was in 1994, and was about inner city (black) buyers beings refused loans with the SAME qualfications as other buyers.
It had nothing to do with the recent problems, as loan companies were aggressive giving loans out to unqualified buyers AGAINST the recommendations of Congress – that’s what the hearings were about in 2004. They begged them to stop! The companies, supported by lobbyists like Newt Gingrich, REFUSED!!!
US Face….scary factoid – did you know the street address of Citibank is “666” (It’s true, saying so on my statement each month).
And they’ve already talked about putting chips with your bank number under your wrist or in your forehead – just like in Revelations.

I thought congress approved and encouraged lending to under-qualified buyers. What did congress as a whole — not just a few congressmen who disapproved — do to discourage it?

I have no love lost for banks but I don’t like how things get pushed on you and then the government owns you. It’s creepy to me. I feel like if they do anything for me I’ll have to wear a 666 on my forehead.
